Pakistan–China Joint Military Exercise YOUYI-IV commenced on Monday near Jehlum.According to ISPR, the joint exercise, spread over a period of two weeks, is aimed at sharing mutual exchange of experience and information through a comprehensive training programme.
This exercise is the fourth one in the series in which special forces from both sides participate. Exercise YOUYI-IV is a brigade level joint exercise between the two armies.
Exercise YOUYI which literally translates "FRIENDSHIP" between two countries started in 2004. So far three exercises have been conducted, including two in China and one in Pakistan. These exercises were mandated to boost existing professional relationship between the two friendly armies. Chinese army, being well equipped and highly technical in nature, is know for being very meticulous, keen and equally professional in their approach. During the last joint exercise in China, they demonstrated a high sense of professionalism and friendship towards Pakistan.
It may be mentioned here that Pakistan and China enjoy extremely close and brotherly relations since their inception, which have matured and strengthened over the years. The forthcoming Joint Military Exercise YOUYI-IV will certainly pave the way for further cementing the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Senior military leadership from both sides will also attend the exercise. The YOUYI-IV exercise will be a true manifestation to a famous Chinese phrase "Pakistan China friendship is higher than the mountains and deeper than oceans".
The Pakistani military says this exercise will include techniques and procedures involved in low-intensity conflict environments.
This will be the fourth time the two militaries will collaborate in such an anti terror drill.
The joint military drill, spread over two weeks is aimed at mutual exchange of experience and information through a broad training program in real time.According to Inter Services Public Relations, this interaction of military exercise aims at sharing and enhancing expertise of both armies in countering terrorism.
China has always been a strong pillar for Pakistan in foreign affairs. It has not only supported Pakistan with its military expertise but has shown tremendous favor such as Gawadar Port & Karakoram Highway, Trade and Energy and Nuclear Co-operation.
ReplyDeletePakistan can benefit a lot out of such activities because China is one of the largest standing military force in the world and on of the developed countries. Through advance techniques and military tools Pakistan can strengthen its defense, these exercise can develop or further polish skills of Pakistani military. And such activities can tighten the bond between Pakistan and China. Different minds and innovations can result in better interest for both of the countries.
